The eMatrix device uses one of the most innovative skin resurfacing technologies: sublative rejuvenation. This treatment is more aggressive than the ones using the Venus Legacy and the Maximus Tripolar given that it is based on inducing a skin scarring. This treatment may also allow treating some severe skin defects. This new-generation technology is excellent to treat wrinkles, skin sagging, scars (acne for instance), stretch marks and skin texture or colour irregularities.

The intensity of the treatment is up to the client since the eMatrix device allows personalizing the pain threshold or recovery period.

How does the treatment work?

Optimal results are achieved when treating the deep layer of the skin. Until now, a major challenge was to direct the energy to this targeted area without overheating or damaging the epidermis, the top layer of the skin. In fact, technologies such laser-based ones function by destroying the top layer of the skin (ablative procedure). Such treatment is painful and healing time may be long because a new skin has to form. Plus the destruction of the skin may cause some complications. On the contrary, the eMatrix technology uses bipolar fractional radiofrequency to direct the energy only towards the deep part of the skin (sublative procedure), which makes the treatment safer and more effective. The eMatrix treatment doesn’t use laser and leaves the skin surface almost intact. Also, downtime is considerably reduced.

This technology is called fractional since the energy delivered is focused solely on each of the specific points to be treated, leaving healthy areas untouched to improve the healing process. This creates an important production of superior-quality elastin and collagen, which generates an incomparable tightening and rejuvenation of the skin.

Which areas can be treated?

The eMatrix treatment is for women and men alike, whatever their skin colour. The following areas can be treated:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine Lines
  • Acne Scars
  • Stretch Marks
  • Sagging Skin (face, hands, and chest)
  • Sun Damaged Skin
  • Dilated Pores
  • Skin Scars
  • Dull Complexion
  • Brown Spots
  • Irregular Skin Complexion
  • Uneven Skin Complexion
  • Aging Cleavage

How is the treatment done?

The treatment is fast and takes about 20 minutes for the whole face. You will experience a hot stinging sensation when the eMatrix energy penetrates the skin. After the treatment, the skin will be pink or reddish, with a sunburn-like appearance and sensation. A light redness may occur in the two days following the treatment. We recommend applying an analgesic cream before the treatment for a more comfortable procedure. Sun exposure is not recommended in the days following the treatment.

How many sessions are required?

The treatment usually requires four sessions at an interval of four to six weeks. If the skin is very damaged, six sessions may be necessary. Maintaining the results may require an average of one or two sessions per year.

What is the cost?

The cost depends on the number of areas to be treated.
