Winner of several awards, including “Best professional skin rejuvenation device” at the 2012 Aesthetic Show, the Dermapen is used to obtain a smoother, firmer and more radiant skin. Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Demi Moore say they use it regularly to enhance their face skin.

The Dermapen functioning is based on “Micro-Needling.” What makes the Dermapen’s technology so revolutionary is its capacity to perform tens of thousands of accurate micro-perforations into the skin, thus creating channels in the epidermis. This allows stimulating the fibroblasts to generate a natural activation of the collagen and elastin fibre synthesis. An accelerated natural cellular regeneration is then observed.

What makes the Dermapen even more unique is its capacity to allow 80% of the serums to penetrate the skin barrier through the thousands of open channels in the epidermis. Usually, skin lets only about 4% of serums penetrate given the volume of their molecules.

How does the treatment work?

The Micro-Needling, also known as the collagen-induction therapy, is a mini-invasive procedure during which minuscule sterile single-use needles are piercing the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels. It activates the skin’s healing response, which leads to the formation of fibroblasts, the release of growth factors and finally, the deposit of collagen and elastin. The application of skin products before the closing of channels (within two hours following the treatment) allows for an optimal absorption of the latter.

Micro-perforation is performed using this innovative device for a controlled and accurate application that allows reaching otherwise unattainable areas with rolls normally used in mesotherapy. Plus there is no formation of scabs after the treatment.

Which areas can be treated?

Dermapen can treat the following:

  • Superficial Wrinkles and Fine Lines
  • Sagging Skin
  • Stretch Marks
  • Dilated Pores
  • Pigmentation Problems
  • Neck
  • Cleavage
  • Aged Hands
  • Dehydrated Skin
  • Dull Skin

How is the treatment done?

We recommend applying an analgesic cream one hour before the treatment to make the procedure more comfortable. Areas to be treated must be disinfected and free of all lotions, creams, and makeup.

Active products such as serums are applied on the skin before using the Dermapen. The depth of the treatment depends on the areas to be treated (it varies from 0.25 mm to 0.5 mm). The treatment lasts between 15 to 20 minutes and is pain-free.

The face skin is usually pink or reddish after the treatment, but this condition will fade in the subsequent hours. Sun exposure is not recommended in the days following the treatment.

How many sessions are required?

The treatment usually requires four to five sessions at an interval of four to six weeks. Maintaining the results may require an average of one or two sessions per year.

When are the results visible?

Significant results are visible right after the first session. Optimal results will be visible after the number of sessions recommended to allow for the creation of collagen.

What are the costs?

The cost per session varies depending on the number of areas to be treated.
The cost for a face treatment is $250.
